Let there be light bulbs
Article Abstract:
The bulb manufacturers in their effort to produce smaller, brighter and cheaper lamps have introduced two new products, namely, compact fluorescent and halogen lighting. Competition among bulb makers is tough as all makers manufacture every lighting category, such as medical, consumer, theatrical and others. Although aesthetics play a role, bulbs are mostly shaped by physical requirements. Different mixes of gases and phosphors are used to produce warmer and cooler light. Philips has initiated the production of a bulb based on induction technology that lasts for 16 years.
