Article Abstract:

United Kingdom self-select personal equity plans (Peps) offer freedom of choice and flexibility for private investors with experience. Investors can use a tange of assets, from equities to cash, and divide Pep allowances around several fund managers. A fund manager or broker is needed for running the Pep, though investors decide on what to invest in. Critics complain of high costs, but there are wide variations from one fund manager or broker to another.
