Article Abstract:

Mortgage-backed notes without the property risk
Article Abstract:
Hongkong Telecom was the first Asian company, other than financial services firms and banks, to sell floating-rate notes backed by employees' home mortgages. The company has since sold the pool of mortgages to remove the property risk and to maximize balance sheet benefits.
