Article Abstract:
The decision to go public can be the solution to a company's financial problems or a disaster just waiting to happen. Management must determine its reasons for going public and discuss the consequences of an initial public offering to avoid feelings of unease or blame in the future. It must stress on the importance of commitment, particularly from senior management, to ensure the success of the IPO.
