Punching our weight in parliament

Article Abstract:

New legislation presents opportunities and threats, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales's (ICAEW's) ability to influence the legislative agenda begins at the start of the parliamentary session. The thinking that goes into manifestos starts several years before a general election, and in 2006, the Institute is working to remind the government that the views and ideas of businesses are important when developing policy.
