Qualitative changes in recall memory during day and night shifts
Article Abstract:
The effect of time of day on how shiftworkers memorize linguistic and pictorial information is investigated. Results show that time of day influences the free recall of linguistic and pictorial information, however the saturation of the worker's processing capacity by adding an interpolated task does not provide explanations of the fluctuation in time of day recall. Lastly, further research is needed to specify the underlying processes in these experimental results.
