Consistent low interest rates and low equity returns are the reasons for the existing underfunded corporate pension plans. But, in the United States, many analysts are optimistic about the financial health of Corporate America's pension plans. Recent surge in the stock markets and reform changes that make the pension funds look healthier are discussed.
