SEC set to tighten disclosure rules
Article Abstract:
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will soon announce significant rules on disclosure, said Commissioner Laura Unger. The new rules will attempt to take into consideration the latest trends in trading such as the Internet and online brokerages, said Unger. The SEC will also consider whether all-analysts meetings that exclude the press give an unfair advantage to institutional investors over individual investors.
