Show producer uses Russian base as new-market springboard
Article Abstract:
International Trade & Exhibitions Group Ltd (ITE) is planning to expand its trade shows in emerging markets. The London, UK-based company, founded by Roger and Roddy Shashoua, expects an increase in sales in 1998 due to its solid marketing base in Russia and the former Soviet republics. A major factor in ITE's success is its alliances with local businesses. Also, it has launched other businesses related to marketing and entered into licensing deals with fellow British trade show producers Blenheim Exhibition and Expo-Web Communications Ltd.
