Photo-Me International

Article Abstract:

Photo-Me International has seen a rise in its stock price following the announcement of plans to enter e-commerce, with 3,000 booths linked to the internet. This strategy involves risks, which the stock price may not take into account. The company forecasts high revenues from its planned multi-media booths, but competition from internet cafes and home computers, likely to drop in price, mean that revenue may be less than forecast. Meanwhile, chief executive, Serge Crasianski, sold 10% of his stake in the company in Jan 2000.
