So many funds, so little choice

Article Abstract:

Businesses have to be aware of the risks involved in choosing a mutual fund in the implementation of a 401(k) plan for its employees. The difficulties in deciding on defined contribution plans has prompted treasury managers to take a more active role in investment decisions instead of leaving choices to personnel departments. Factors to consider in investing include consultation services from fund managers, defined strategies, and cost savings.
