Structuring joint ventures between for-profit and tax-exempt entities
Article Abstract:
Not-for -profit organizations like health care facility providers, educational institutions and low income housing construction groups are increasingly seeking funds from investors and for-profit firms for their projects. The guidelines to be followed by the not-for -profit entities in order to retain their tax-exempt status even after entering into a partnership with taxable partners are examined.
