The cable industry will benefit from digital TV, and interactive TV also has potential. Telewest is also an internet access provider. Microsoft holds a 29.9% stake in the company. Telewest could be acquired by NTL. The company's stocks represent a risk, due to costs of investing in cable networks. Cable companies may also have to grant access to networks prior to more consolidation beting allowed.
