Web companies still soaking up the cash

Article Abstract:

There are a number of internet stock flotations planned in the United Kingdom, following the flotations of Freeserve and eXchange. These new flotations include QXL.com, an online auction house that began trading in 1997, helping with the sale of obsolete inventories. QXL later launched QXL Exchange and has developed a broader merchandise range. The company has been valued at some 250 million pounds sterling. Property Internet also plans a stock flotation, as does Oneview.net, and Blue Square could also follow.

The bulls are out again and buying the dips

Article Abstract:

Bulls are buying when stock prices fall, and this means that Wall Street may have overcome its difficult period. It is not easy to decide whether to select growth stocks or look for value. Healthcare and pharmaceutical stocks have spent some time out of fashion, and appear attractive. Bristol Myers Squibb and Warner Lambert are two possible buys. There are mixed signs on interest rates, and it is not easy to raise prices in many areas due to competition from Asia. The signs are that inflation is subdued.
