What Credit Executives Do
Article Abstract:
An informal study by the author convinced him that most people have no real idea what tasks a credit manager performs. Credit management as a career is rarely sought even by business students. To bridge the gap between academics who are not fully aware of what credit managers do, and practitioners who need qualified employees, a list of tasks are identified and grouped. Tasks performed by individual credit departments may vary widely. Also, not all tasks are identifed here. This is merely intended to act as a starting point from which the occupation can be analyzed.
