Whitecross: filling the gap

Article Abstract:

Whitecross is joining the Alternative Investment Market (Aim) and plans to open 10 further dentistry practices in London, England, in the three years from May 1996. The company reported a turnover of 2.2 million pounds sterling for 1995 to 1996, with a loss of 260,000 pounds, and is unlikely to be profitable until after 1998. There is scope for expansion in this market in the UK, due to its fragmented nature. The company is attracting clients, and the proportion of its income from profitable private dentistry should increase.
