Managing the legal liability of internships
Article Abstract:
The incorporation of legal formats into the handbook of college policy on interns erased confusions regarding the liability of students and internship sites. The handbook says that a college is not responsible for injury to a student or to a site due to the behavior of the student. Students are requested to sign a document saying that they comprehend the rules of the college and that they have received information pertaining to the site. They also sign a document which mentions the risks of internship sites and internships. Site supervisors are also requested to sign a document which emphasizes the role of the students and the instruction they will receive.
