The National Assn. of Colleges and Employers has announced the restructuring of its vision and mission statements and its values during the conference held in Jan. 1997. Its vision is to be the premier global organization which links associations who take part in the career development and employment of college graduates. Its mission is to provide college alumni and students with the resources to be gainfully employed. Its values include teamwork, integrity, quality, institutional and individual diversity, focus on members, and leadership among other things.

Recruiting on the Internet
Article Abstract:
Posting jobs through the Internet is the fastest way of recruiting employees because it is quicker and is available 24 hours a day worldwide. Another advantage is that the recruitment staff can also surf the Internet for resumes of possible recruits. According to a survey conducted by the National Assn. of Colleges and Employees, 65% of those surveyed used the Internet for possible employment. Some tips for employee recruitment through the Internet are provided.

Transitions come ... and come ... and come
Article Abstract:
The personal experiences of the president of the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) are described. The two of the main transitions stemming from the organizational changes brought about by the Regional Relations/CPC (NACE) Task Force include selection of the new NACE executive director and technological changes. The multitude of changes brought about at NACE between 1992 and 1996 are listed.
