A highly photoconductive poly(vinylcarbazole)/2,4,7-trinitro-9-fluorenone sol-gel material that follows a classical charge-generation model

Article Abstract:

Highly photoconductive properties are described for organic-inorganic hybrid sol-gel thin film materials composed of a classical poly(vinylcarbazole)/2,4,7-trinitro-9-fluorenone (PVK/TNF) polymeric mixture. This mixture is entrapped in a Si[O.sub.2] matrix whose pores were chemically modified by organic functional groups and the PVK/TNF based sol-gel films follow Onsager's classical charge-generation model.

A novel photoconductive PVK/SiO2 interpenetrated network prepared by the sol-gel process

Article Abstract:

The preparation of a novel photoconductive sol-gel material based on an organic/ inorganic interpenetrating network (IPN) is described. The composition of the sol-gel photoconductive material mimics the well-known polymeric one based on poly(N-vinylcarbazole) (PVK) as the charge-transporting matrix and 2,4,7-trinitro-9-fluorenone (TNF) as the sensitizer.

Identification of oblique and coplanar inclined fluorescent J-dimers in rhodamine 110 doped sol-gel-glasses

Article Abstract:

Analysis of rhodium 110 (R110) fluorescent properties in investigating its ability to form J-dimers adsorbed on the porous surface is presented. Experiments include J-dimer formation at a low R110 concentration using gels with adsorption available specific surface area.
