A new approach to the study of the reactivity of solid-acid catalysts: the application of constant rate thermal analysis to the desorption and surface reaction of isopropylamine from NaY and HY zeolites
Article Abstract:
The desorption/reaction of isopropylamine from NaY and HY zeolites are investigated under constant rate thermal analysis and conventional linear heating conditions. The use of constant rate techniques fore the study of temperature programmed desorption(TPD) and reactions (TPR[sub x]) from porous solids is shown to have several potential advantages over conventional linear heating experiments.

Long-lived radical cation-electron pairs generated by anthracene sorption in non bronsted acidic zeolites
Article Abstract:
The sorption of anthracene (ANT) in non Bronsted acidic ZSM-5 zeolite through the mere exposure at room temperature of solid ANT and dehydrated zeolite crystals with Li3.4(AlO2)n(SiO2)96-n chemical formulas per unit cell generates spontaneous ionization of ANT. The radical cation [ANT(super .+)] was characterized by conventional diffuse reflectance UV-visible and resonance Raman spectrometry.
