Local structure of aluminum in zeolite mordenite as affected by temperature
Article Abstract:
The local aluminum structure in zeolite mordenite was studied at temperatures up to 1000 K in a vacuum by Al K-edge X-ray absorption near-edge structure (XANES) spectroscopy. The FT analysis of Al K-edge XANES showed a highly distorted tetrahedral coordination of the dehydrated H-mordenite.

Local structure refinement of disordered material modes: ion pairing and structure in [YCl.sub.3] aqueous solutions
Article Abstract:
Empirical potential structure refinement (EPSR) is used to study the ion pairing and structure in [YCl.sub.3] aqueous solutions. The approach is proved to be extremely useful for studying the local structure refinement of various disordered material modes.
