A new sub-Doppler fluorescence imaging method in studying laser ablation of B atoms at 248 nm

Article Abstract:

A new sub-Doppler fluorescence imaging method to study the laser ablation of B atoms at 248 nm is presented. The results show that the angular distributions of the laser-ablated B atoms are velocity dependent and the ablation plume undergoes an unsteady adiabatic expansion.

Dielectric constant of water confined in a nanocavity

Article Abstract:

The molecular dynamics simulations are used to study the dielectric constant of water confined in a nanodimensional spherical cavity. The results show a nearly 50% decrease of the dielectric constant when water is confined in a cavity of about 12 angstrom in diameter.

Catalytic growth of silicon nanowires assisted by laser ablation

Article Abstract:

An attempt is made to investigate the catalytic roles of different metal catalysts (Fe, Ru, Pr, RuCl3, and Pr6O11) and SiO2 in the syntheses of SiNWs assisted by laser ablation. It is concluded that the pressure effect on the growing process has been examined.
