Characterization of the crystalline and solution phases in N,N' dimethylethylenediamine (DMEDA) with sodium triflate (NaCF3SO3)

Article Abstract:

The study has led to the discovery of crystalline compound (DMEDA)2 (NaTF)3 characterized by X-ray diffraction, fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry and Raman spectroscopy. The similarity of vibrational mode frequencies and intensities in the spectral region sensitive to the conformation of DMEDA molecule argues about the comparison modes of DMEDA in the concentrated salt solutions and crystals.

Characterization of microporous titanosilicate ETS-10 by infrared spectroscopy with methane as a probe molecule for basic sites

Article Abstract:

The usefulness of methane is demonstrated by using a crystalline microporous material of ETS-10, with Na- and Cs- exchanged forms. The frequencies of these bands indicated that the strengths of the basic sites of NA-ETS-10 and Cs-ETS-10 are in the same degree with those of MgO, NaY, and CsY.
