Computational and experimental study of the cyclic voltammetry response of partially blocked electrodes. part 1. nonoverlapping, uniformly distributed blocking systems
Article Abstract:
The cyclic voltammetry response of partially blocked electrodes was modeled finite difference simulations and a method presented for determining currents at electrode surfaces, which have a well-defined geometric blocking pattern. The comparison of theory with experiment suggested that the modeling of hexagonally distributed blocking systems was superior to that of the cubically arranged ones.

Voltammetric sensing of thiols. The electrocatalytic oxidation of 4-acetamidophenol in the presence of cysteine: a mechanistic rotating disk electrode study
Article Abstract:
A general method for modeling the transport-limited current for the EC(sub 2x)E reaction at the rotating disk electrode is illustrated. The study concluded that this method allows easy working surface interpolation of experimental data so that a rate constant for the redox-mediated steps in the EC(sub 2x)E reaction may be investigated.
