Cryogenic charge transport in oxidized purple bacterial light-harvesting 1 complexes

Article Abstract:

The analysis of the inter-bacteriochlorophyll a (BChla) charge-transport process that occurs in oxidized purple bacterial light-harvesting 1 (LH1) complexes is reported. The results of the analysis are consistent with the notion that the protein functions as the primary solvent for the redox centers and are in accord with the view that the protein behaves as a frozen glass.

Modeling charge transfer in oxidized bacterial antenna complexes

Article Abstract:

A method for calculating the electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectrum from the simulated trajectories is explained. The calculated EPR line width depends on the oxidized pigments which assumes a strong Heisenberg spin exchange combined with electron transfer.

Exploring charge migration in light-harvesting complexes using electron paramagnetic resonance line narrowing

Article Abstract:

An investigation, of the temperature and oxidant concentration dependence of the bacteriochlorophyll pigments, is made. For this purpose, electron paramagnetic resonance line narrowing method is used.
