Designed nanostructured Pt film for electrocatalytic activities by underpotential deposition combined chemical replacement techniques

Article Abstract:

A study is conducted to demonstrate an electrochemical strategy to nanoparticle-based catalyst design using multiple underpotential deposition (UPD)-redox replacement technique. The preparation method is very simple, controllable, and reproducible and the as-prepared film electrodes have a high mechanical stability and are very robust, durable and efficient in long time periods.

Spontaneous fractal aggregation of gold nanoparticles and controlled generation of aggregate-based fractal networks at air/water interface

Article Abstract:

The spontaneous fractal aggregation of as-prepared cetytrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB)-capped gold nanopartices was found to happen at the air/water interface after spreading their chloroform solution on water surface. Aided by Langmuir-Blodgett techniques, the fractal aggregates can be interconnected with each other to form aggregate-based fractal networks.

Fabrication, characterization, and application in SERS of self-assembled polyelectrolyte-gold nanorod multilayered films

Article Abstract:

An effective and facile approach for the preparation of multilayered nanostructure of gold nanorods is demonstrated. The strategy presented here to construct three-dimensional nanostructure of Au nanorods (NRs) is quite facile and easy control, which opens up a routeway to the future application of Au NRs in nanodevices as well as in molecular detection.
