Detailed model of the aggregation event between two fractal clusters

Article Abstract:

A model is developed for describing the aggregation process of two fractal clusters under quiescent conditions. The model is based on the approach originally introduced by Smoluchowski to compute the rate of diffusion-limited aggregation of spherical particles and as the new model predicts the center-to-center distance between two clusters in the formed cluster.

Localization of dibromophenol in DPPC/water liposomes studied by anomalous small-angle X-ray scattering

Article Abstract:

The localization of 2,4-dibromophenol molecules along the bilayer normal by anomalous small-angle X-ray scattering (ASAXS) with synchrotron radiation was investigated. The ASAXS curves measured at three different energies provided the derivation of the scattering of the bromine atoms of dibromophenol molecules from that of whole system.

Intra- and intermolecular heavy-atom effects on the fluorescence properties of brominated C60 polyads

Article Abstract:

A series of brominated mono-methano[60]fullerene malonate derivatives are investigated for intramolecular and external heavy-atom effects on their fluorescence. Results reveal that the internal effect doubles when going from the diads to the triad.
