Diffusion anomaly at low temperatures in confined systems from the rare events method
Article Abstract:
The nature of dependence of self-diffusivity on the size of the monatomic spherical sorbates within zeolite NaY has been investigated at low temperatures. The results on separation of mixtures and the frequency of the recrossing events across the barrier to diffusion and its dependence on the size are discussed.

Desorption of acetone from alkaline-earth exchanged Y zeolite after propane selective oxidation
Article Abstract:
Investigation on the temperature-programmed-desorption (TDP) of propane partial oxidation products using in situ FTIR and MS is presented. It is concluded that water clearly facilitates acetone desorption, most likely via shielding of the electrostatic field and creation of additional sites.

Reply to the comment on 'computer simulation of incommensurate diffusion in zeolites: Understanding window effects'
Article Abstract:
The difficulties in determining the diffusion coefficients in zeolites are addressed. It is found that a diffusion coefficient in a zeolite can increase as a function of chain length.
