Diffusion in nanoporous phases: size dependence and levitation effect
Article Abstract:
The nature of size dependence observed in nanoporous materials is discussed. The studies of impurity atom diffusion in close-packed solids as well as ions in superionic and other solids have shown the existence of a size-dependent diffusivity and the levitation effect has led to a maximum in diffusivity of a diffusant in many condensed matter phases.

A new class of lithium hybrid gel electrolyte systems
Article Abstract:
A new class of materials prepared by using Li(sub 2)PdCl(sub 4), Li(sub 3)Fe(CN)(sub 6) and glycerol as precursors is described. The conclusion states that the inorganic-organic gel consist of a hybrid backbone composed of a mixture of inorganic-organic clusters of Fe and Pd structural units with glycerol surrounded by nonbonded glycerol molecules.

High pressure NMR study of water self-diffusion in NAFION-117 membraatp
Article Abstract:
High-pressure NMR measurements of the water self-diffusion coefficient in NAFION are conducted in the nonuniform (fringe) region of a superconducting magnet. The transport mechanism in low water content films is significantly different than that at high water content, and possibly involves some contribution from segmental motions of the polymer.
