Effective kinetic phase diagrams
Article Abstract:
A model for kinetic or nonequilibrium segregation taking place at the solidification front is extended to both mass and heat transport, giving rise to effective kinetic phase diagrams. This model is based on nonequilibrium thermodynamics, yielding a linear growth rate for each component, and the theory of hydrodynamics with moving boundaries, assuming fixed boundary layers both mass and heat transport.

Nonequilibrium liquid crystalline layered phase stabilized by light
Article Abstract:
The ability of light to alter or stabilize a particular thermodynamic phase can be used to investigate the temperature versus ultraviolet (UV) intensity phase diagrams for various mixtures. The analysis has indicated the possibility of observing a double critical point by using the ultraviolet (UV) intensity as a fine-tuning parameter.

Nonequilibrium potential function of chemically driven single macromolecules via jarzynski-type log-mean-exponential heat
Article Abstract:
Open, driven chemical and molecular systems from chemical equilibrium are studied from several different points of view in statistical physics. In terms of Jarzynski-type equality, the result obtained clearly demonstrates an intimate connection between the fluctuation theorems and nonequilibrium potentials.
