Electrocatalytic oxidation of small carbohydrate fuels at Pt-Sn modified electrodes

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to analyze the electrocatalytic oxidation of small carbohydrate fuels at Pt-Sn modified electrodes. Reactivities, electron yields, and product distributions were determined at low potentials. The Par Model 173 potentiostat was utilized with a PAR Model 175 programmer to carry out electrochemical studies. Product analysis of the electrolysis mixtures was then performed by solution 13C nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy.

How does back-reaction at the conducting glass substrate influence the dynamic photovoltage response of nanocrystalline dye-sensitized solar cells?

Article Abstract:

A study on the influence of the back-reaction on open circuit photovoltage decay measurements and on intensity modulated photovoltage (IMVS) measurement is carried out. The simulations demonstrate that reliable information dye-sensitized nanocrystalline solar cells properties such as trapping distributions can only be derived from transient or periodic photovoltage responses.

Pt-Sn microfabricated surfaces as catalysts for organic electro-oxidation

Article Abstract:

The synthesis of electrochemical catalysts is illustrated by microfabrication. The activity of Pt-Sn structures fabricated onto Pt toward the electrochemical Sn and Pt-Sn structures by Auger electron spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy, and scanning electron microscopy is evaluated.
