Fabrication of nanocrystal tube using peptide tubule as template and its application as signal-enhancing cuvette.

Article Abstract:

The carboxylic acid-thiol capped Au nanocrystal coating on peptide tubule templates to form the Au nanocrystal tubules were used for developing a new method for fabricating nanocrytsal tubules. Results show that the hydrogen bonding between the amide groups of the tubules and the carboxylic acid groups of the nanocrystals provided the driving force for the process.

Electrochemical and surface study of ferrocenoyl oligopeptides

Article Abstract:

The syntheses and full characterization of several symmetric ferrocenoyl (Fe)-peptide cystamines together with an unsymmetric Fc-Ala-Ala-CSA-Ala-Fc is reported. The results differ significantly from Hirao's work in disubstituted 1,1' -Fc-peptide systems which exhibit exclusively intramolecular H-bonding interactions, leading to chiral patterning in the solid state.

Solution effects and the folding of an artificial peptide

Article Abstract:

A simple artificial peptide is explored and the relation between secondary structure formation and its dependence on the solvent model is presented. It is indicated that the final structure and details of the folding process depends on the solvent environment.
