Electrochemistry of S adlayers at underpotentially deposited Cd on Au(111): implications for the electrosynthesis of high-quality CdS thin films
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze thin CdS films prepared by electrochemical atomic layer epitaxy to examine the effects of the order of deposition on film quality. Electrochemical, scanning probe microscopy and Raman spectroscopy were used to carry out the study. The electrochemistry studies were performed in a single-compartment, three-electrode Teflon cells. Results indicated that the order of deposition supports a critical role in determining the atomic level structure of underpotential deposition overlays and the long range order of films.

Thermal stability of supported platinum clusters studied by in situ GISAXS
Article Abstract:
The study reports thermal stability of deposited platinum nanoparticles by employing grazing incidence small-angle X-ray scattering technique (GISAXS). The analysis of the GISAXS data concluded that the supported particles preserve their original size in a very broad temperature range, before an abrupt onset of the agglomeration takes place.
