Electronic and structural shell closure in AgCu and AuCu nanoclusters
Article Abstract:
An analysis of binary AgCu clusters containing 40 atoms at different compositions was performed and the observations were compared to those for AuCu clusters of the same size. It was inferred that the most stable structures are derived from a nontrivial interplay of geometric effects, which include the selection of structural motif and of the type of chemical ordering, and electronic effects that can vary the stability of a structure and are highly material specific.

Highly ordered superlattices from polydisperse Ag nanoparticles: A comparative study of fractionation and self-correction
Article Abstract:
Two different routes to construct superlattice structures from hydrophilic polydisperse mercaptosuccinic acid (MSA)-Ag nanoparticles with the average size of 2.5nm are examined. It is seen that the superlattice structures obtained by the above two procedures exhibited distinct features though the starting material was the same MSA-Ag particles.
