Energetics of the N-bonds in 2-hydroxyphenazine-di-N-oxide

Article Abstract:

The derivation of the standard molar enthalpies of formation in the gaseous state of a new phenazine derivative, 2-hydroxyphenazine-di-N-oxide, is reported. The mean molar dissociation enthalpy of the (N-O) bonds is derived for the 2-hydroxyphenazine-di-N-oxide species.

Surface activity, micelle formation, and growth of n-octyl-beta-D-thioglucopyranoside in aqueous solutions at different temperatures

Article Abstract:

Surface tension and light scattering measurements were performed on OTG aqueous solutions through temperature range. The micellization process is favored by a temperature increase, showing an enthalpy-entropy compensation typical process in aqueous medium.

Proton translocation in monomolecular Langmuir-Blodgett films including 2-naphthol and 1,4-anthraquinone derivatives

Article Abstract:

An investigation of the proton transport through monomolecular Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films is done. It is concluded that the proton can be transported through film but its concentration vanishes at the distance greater than 30 Angstrom.
