Energy dissipations in chlorosomes: Emission from the Q(sub y) state following singlet-singlet and triplet-triplet annihilation reactions in the cylindrical aggregate and its reversible dissociation into the piggy-back dimers
Article Abstract:
The excited-state dynamics of chlorosomes from Chlorobium tepidum, upon excitation above the Soret state, was examined by pump-and-probe time-resolved absorption spectroscopy in the subpicosecond to millisecond time region. It is observed that the relaxation processes that accompany the dissipation of the excited-state and the thermal energies vary depending on the time range and the amount of photons supplied.

Single-molecule study of protein-protein interaction dynamics in a cell signaling system
Article Abstract:
A study on protein-protein noncovalent interaction in an intracellular signaling protein complex, using single-molecule spectroscopy and molecular dynamics simulations is reported. The findings indicate static and dynamic inhomogeneous conformational fluctuations of the protein complex that involve bound and loosely bound states.
