FRANCE: MESSER INAUGURATES NEW GAS UNIT

Article Abstract:

Messer France has invested FFr 10mn into a new industrial gas production unit at Carbon Blanc, near Bordeaux . The new, fully automated plant has a daily capacity of 3,000 bottles, while a new filling and bottle system allows to inject 50% more gas compared to the traditional bottle of the same size. The new plant was inaugurated on 29 March 1999.

FRANCE: SOAEO'S 2000 RESULTS

Article Abstract:

Air Liquide's subsidiary SOAEO (Societe d'Oxygene et d'Acetylene d'Extreme-Orient) posted net earnings of EUR 24.3mn in 2000, and EUR 33.4mn in consolidated net earnings in 2000, up 19% from 1999.
