Freezing of crankshaft motion of trans-stilbene molecule in charge-transfer complexes, STB-TCNQ and STB-TCNQF4

Article Abstract:

In the investigation, it is shows the results of precise calirometry on STB-TCNQ and STB- (TCNQ) F4 are described in full detail. It shows that the magnitude pf the stepped increase in heat capacity and the glass-transition temperature implies the consistency between the presence of the glass-transition and the previous structural results.

Thermodynamic study of phase transitions in lyotropic systems: Adiabatic calorimetry on nonionic surfactant C16E8-water system

Article Abstract:

Precise heat capacity measurements are reported on the lyotropic liquid crystals formed in the C16E8-water binary system utilizing adiabatic calorimetry. The results suggest that the higher order structure in the liquid crystalline phases in these systems be mainly constructed by surfactant molecules with a fixed amount of water.

Thermodynamic study of phase transitions in lyotropic liquid crystals: adiabatic calorimetry on nonionic surfactant C(sub 12)E(sub 6)-water system

Article Abstract:

The heat capacities of the binary system consisting of the nonionic surfactant C(sub 12)E(sub 6) and water and that of neat C(sub 12)E(sub 6) were precisely measured as a function of temperature by adiabatic calorimetry. The enthalpy and entropy of transitions were determined for all transitions observed.
