From multicomponent precursor to nanoparticle nanoribbons of ZnO
Article Abstract:
A simple mild solution method is developed to synthesize a novel nanoribbon multicomponent precursor. A new 1-D nanostructure, porous structured nanoribbons which are self-assembled by textured ZnO nanoparticles was found upon removal of ligand molecules from the ribbonlike precursor.

Phase segregation on different length scales in a model cell membrane system
Article Abstract:
A field theory is used to examine the forces underlying raft formation on resting living cell membranes. Experiments that could further assess the importance of dipolar interactions for lateral organization of the components on multiple length scales in membranes are suggested.

Microwave synthesis of supported Au and Pd nanoparticle catalysts for CO oxidation
Article Abstract:
The microwave synthesis and characterization of Au and Pd nanoparticle catalysts supported on CeO2, CuO2, CuO, and ZnO nanoparticles for CO oxidation is reported. The results indicate that supported Au/CeO2 catalysts exhibit excellent activity for low-temperature CO oxidation.
