Hydroxylation of aromatics with hydrogen peroxide over titanosilicates with MOR and MFI structures: effect of Ti peroxo species on the diffusion and hydroxylation activity

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to analyze shape selectivity in the liquid-phase hydroxylation of aromatic hydrocarbons supporting hydrogen peroxide on two types of titanosilicate. The hydroxylation of aromatic hydrocarbons with H2O2 was performed in a flask reactor at 363 K under vigorous agitation while the liquid-phase adsorption was carried out in a glass cell. Results indicated that the addition of H2O2 to H2O solvent reduced the diffusivity of aromatics.

Catalytic performance of [Ti, Al]-beta in the alkene epoxidation controlled by the postsynthetic ion exchange

Article Abstract:

Novel methods for enhancing the epoxide selectivity in the alkene epoxidation over [Ti, Al]-Beta are developed. When as-synthesized [Ti, Al]-Beta was treated with aqueous ammonium nitrate solution and successively calcined at low temperature, a dramatic enhancement of epoxide selectivity was attained in the liquid-phase epoxidation of cyclohexene using H2O2 as an oxidant in protic solvent methanol.

A novel titanosilicate with MWW structure. I. Hydrothermal synthesis, elimination of extra framework titanium, and characterizations

Article Abstract:

A novel MWW-type titanosilicate containing the tetrahedral Ti species in the framework is successfully prepared. This is achieved by an acid treatment on a corresponding lamellar precursor, which is hydrothermally synthesized with the coexistence of boron and titanium using piperidine (PI) or hexamethyleneimine (HM) as a structure-directing agent.
