Incorporation of lithium and sodium in MIL-74 super-sodalites: A2M7(PO4)12.4tren-A(H2O)16 (with A=Li or Na and M=Al or Ga)

Article Abstract:

The hydrothermal synthesis of a structural characterization of a mixed alkaline aluminum phosphate A2Al7(PO4)12.4tren.A(H2O)16 (A=Li, Na) and its gallium phosphate analogue Li2-Ga7(PO4)12.4tren.Li(H2O)16 prepared in the presence of tris(2-1aminoethyl)amine is presented. The structure showed a 3D topology built up from an enneameric unit T5P4 forming a network based on super-sodalite cavities with 12-ring windows obstructed by the structure-directing agent tren.

Electron paramagnetic resonance study of W (super 5 plus) pairs in lithium-tungsten phosphate glasses

Article Abstract:

A study is conducted to investigate the electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectra of W(super 5+) ions in Li2O-WO3_P2O5 glasses with different composition of oxide components. Disproportionation of W(super 5+) ions in the pair is thermally reversible in the presence of Li(super +) ions such that temperature decrease shifts the equilibrium toward the formation of W(super 4+) and W(super 6+) ions.

Electronic structure of Li(Co, Mg)O2 studied by electron energy-loss spectrometry and first-principles calculation

Article Abstract:

Electronic structures of LiCoO2 and Mg-doped LiCoO2 were studied experimentally via electron energy-loss spectroscopy (EELS) and theoretically via ab initio calculations based on density-functional theory. Change in the valance state of both Co and O was revealed.
