Interaction of sodium dodecyl sulfate with dimyristoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine monolayers studied by infrared reflection absorption spectroscopy. A new method for the determination of surface partition coefficients

Article Abstract:

The interaction of the surfactant sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) with lipid monolayers of 1,2-dimyristoyl-d54-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DMPC-d54) at the air/water interface was studied by infrared reflection absorption spectroscopy. The results indicate that with increasing the surfactant concentration, the slight shift of the CDs stretching vibration of DMPC-d54 toward lower wave number.

Using sodium cation organization to study the phase behavior of bicelle solutions

Article Abstract:

The probing of the electric field gradients near the surface of a dimyristoylphosphatidylcholine (DMPC)/dihexanoyl-phosphatidylcholine (DHPC) bicells using Na(super 23) NMR is presented. The observed splittings for Na(super 23) and their temperature dependence provide information about the constitutional changes.

A sold-state NMR and ab initio study of sodium metallocenes

Article Abstract:

A variety of sodium metallocenes were studied by (super 23)Na (I = 3/2) and (super 13)C solid-state numeric magnetic resonance (NMR). A variable-temperature (super 23)Na NMR experiments showed that the magnitude of C(sub Q)((super 23)Na) grows with increasing temperature in the linear metallocenes.
