Ion pairing and electron transfer
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze the influence of electrolytes on ion pairing. Several techniques were utilized to study the electrolyte effect. These include kinetic, optical, and hyperfine coupling studies. Three cases of reorganization were also considered wherein ion pairs could be tight, loose or both. In addition, cases where the transient dynamics of formation of the initial ion-paired reactant does not influence observations were analyzed. Experimental results indicated significant differences between the intermolecular findings.
