JAPAN: BUNDER GLAS, TAISEI KAKO COOPERATION

After having cooperated for 20 years in the production and marketing of pre-fillable single-use syringes, German Bunder Glas GmbH and Taisei Kako of Japan have signed a more extensive cooperation and delivery agreement. Taisei Kako is a leading supplier of packaging and application systems to the Japanese pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. Bunder Glas is a subsidiary of Gerresheimer Glas AG. It has been producing syringe systems of the Japanese company under licence for five years.

German Aschaffenburg-based Petri AG and Troisdorf-based Dynamit Nobel GmbH Explosivstoff- und Systemtechnik (DNES) have founded a 70:30 joint venture in Furth. Petri-DN GmbH Inflator Systems is to produce passive restraint systems for motor vehicles. While Petri is expanding business in the sector of gas generators, DNES hived off this sector in order to concentrate in future on its core sector, industrial detonating elements.
