Kinetics of adsorption of the cobalt ions on the 'electrolytic solution/gamma-alumina' interface

Article Abstract:

The surface dissolution of gama-alumina in the presence of the Co(H2O)6(super 2+) ions in the implementation solution, the contribution of the Co(II) desorption on the whole deposition process and the deposition isotherm. The findings of the kinetic study are expected to shed more light on the local structure of the deposited Co(II) species under various conditions.

Theoretical study of the dehydration process of boehmite to gamma-alumina

Article Abstract:

A study was done to provide a pathway according to which the dehydration of boehmite and the spinel characteristics appear and determine the thermodynamic stability of the structures involved. Further, a skeleton for gamma-alumina in agreement with experimental data such as XRD patterns and nuclear magnetic resonance is proposed.

Comment on 'examination of spinel and nonspinel structural models of [gamma]-Al2O3 by DFT and Rietveld refinement simulations

Article Abstract:

A critical analysis of the results that compared different bulk models for [gamma]-alumina using DFT simulations and Reitveld refinement is presented. The analysis reveals that the spinel-related model could represent major features of [gamma]-Al2O3 reasonably well.
