Dispersion of single-walled carbon nanotube bundles in nonaqueous solution

Article Abstract:

The observation of photoluminescence from single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) dispersed in a tetrahydrofuran(THF)/octylamine solution, providing the first clear evidence for individual SWNTs in nonaqueous solution is reported. The effective amine-assisted dispersion of C(sub 60) and La@C(sub 82) peapods is discussed.

Synthesis of carbon tubule nanocoils using Fe--In--Sn--O fine particles as catalysts

Article Abstract:

Fe--In--Sn--O fine particle or powder catalyst for synthesizing carbon nanocoils by catalytic thermal chemical vapor deposition is developed. The study will lead to the mass production of carbon nanocoils and therefore widen their applications.
