Microenvironment in the corona region of triblock copolymer micelles: Temperature dependent solvation and rotational relaxation dynamics of coumarin dyes

Article Abstract:

Dynamics Stokes' shift and fluorescent anisotropy measurements using coumarin-153 (C153) and coumarin 151(C151) were carried out in aqueous P123 and F127 block copolymer micelles to understand the water structure and dynamics in micellae corona region. The probes reside in the micellar corona region while the corona regions of P123 and F127 micelles are relatively less hydrated than the Palisade layers of neutral micelles like Triton-X 100 and Brij-35.

Synthesis and characterization of highly magnetized nanocrystalline [Co.sub.30][Fe.sub.70] alloy by chemical reduction

Article Abstract:

[Co.sub.30][Fe.sub.70] nanoparticles with mean particle size of about 8 nm were successfully synthesized by the chemical reduction of cobalt chloride and iron chloride with borohydride as a reducing agent in aqueous solution. The [Co.sub.30][Fe.sub.70] nanocrystallite by chemical reduction shows excellent soft magnetic behavior like that of [Co.sub.30][Fe.sub.70] bulk.
