Molecular insights into the heterogeneous crystal growth of sI methane hydrate
Article Abstract:
A successful molecular simulation study exploring the heterogeneous crystal growth of sI methane hydrate along its [001] crystallographic face is reported. The results have indicated that methane hydrate crystal growth is a diffusion-limited process and that the interface has an affinity for methane.

Band-gap engineering of metal oxides for dye-sensitized solar cells
Article Abstract:
Mixed oxides [Ti.sub.1-x][Zr.sub.x]O2 with 0 < x less than or equal to 0.2 are synthesized by means of thermal hydrolysis for use in dye-sensitized solar cells. Results reveal that lattice parameter d is observed to increase linearly with Zr content x.
