Multiple quantum 27Al magic-angle-spinning nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopic study of SrAl12O19: identification of a 27Al resonance from a well-defined AlO5 site
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to characterize SrAl12O19, a material supporting a magnetoplumbite-type structure, by field-dependent 27Al MAS and solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance. The starting mixture was prepared using specific amounts of SrCo3. A Bruker DPX 200 spectrometer was utilized to determine the spectra. In addition, the simulations of the spectra were optimized by considering a small distribution in quadrupole constants.

High-energy excitonic transitions in CdSe quantum dots
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to examine the optical excitation spectra of CdSe quantum dots using an atomistic direct diagonalization pseudopotential approach. The excitonic transitions were determined based on the specific pairs of valence and conduction single-particle states. Experimental results indicated that the direct diagonalization pseudopotential method can effectively examine excitonic transition.
