NMR study of Li(super +) ion dynamics in the perovskite Li(sub 3x)La(sub 1/3-x)NbO3

Article Abstract:

(super 7)Li and (super 3)Li nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) experiments are carried out on the perovskite Li(sub 3x)La(sub 1/3-x)NbO3. The results are compared with those on the titanate Li(sub 3x)La(sub 2/3-x)TiO3 (LLTO) to investigate the effect, on the lithium ion dynamics, of the total substitution of Nb(super 5+) for Ti(super 4+) in the B-site of the ABO3 perovskites.

Comparison of the heat- and pressure-induced helix-coil transition of two DNA copolymers

Article Abstract:

The helix-coil transition of poly[d(I-C)] and poly[d(A-T)] was studied as a function of hydrostatic pressure, temperature, and sodium ion concentration. The sign and magnitude of the volume change for the heat-induced helix-coil transition, DV(sub T), of poly[d(I-C)] and poly[d(A-T)] were dependent on the helix-coil transition temperature, T(sub M) at atmospheric pressure.

Cation distribution in LiMgVO4 and LiZnVO4: Structural and spectroscopic study

Article Abstract:

The cation distribution in LiMgVO4 and LiZnVO4 crystallographic sites is determined by using X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD), (super 7)Li and (super 51)V magic angle spinning nuclear magnetic resonance (MAS NMR) and micro-Raman measurements. High temperature XRPD measurements have ruled out the possible structural transitions up to 673 K for both compounds.
